POSTED: 11:26 pm EST February 21, 2009

(Sports Network) - Dejuan Goodwin scored a game-high 20 points, shooting 6-of-10 behind the three-point line, to help lead the Marist Red Foxes to a 57-35 win against the Hartford Hawks in BracketBuster play at the McCann Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Red Foxes (9-20) as they won for the second time in the last three outings, was R.J. Hall with 10 points as the team posted a program record with the fewest points ever allowed to a Division I opponent.

The Hawks (6-23), losers of 12 in a row, were led by Morgan Sabia and Jaret von Rosenberg with eight points apiece, the latter posting six rebounds and five steals, but also turning the ball over seven times.

Hartford made a total of just five field goals in the first half, four of which came from three-point range, leaving the squad with a 25-17 deficit at the break.

In the second half the Hawks again suffered with a mere 6-of-26 from the floor, including 2-of-17 beyond the arc, in the 22-point decision.

Marist, which forced the visitors into 24 turnovers and just 6-of-29 beyond the arc, managed to work through 11-of-30 out on the perimeter and 20 turnovers of its own.
