GAME NOTES: The Princeton Tigers play their final home game of the season this evening, as they host the Yale Bulldogs in Ivy League play at Jadwin Gym. The Tigers have gone an even 2-2 on their current five-game homestand and they own a 7-6 ledger at Jadwin Gym this season. The team is also coming off a triumph just last night, capturing a 56-48 decision over Brown. The win improved Princeton to 11-12 overall and 6-4 within the conference. As for Yale, it kicked off its final road trip of the season with an 87-79 besting of Penn on Friday. It was the third straight win for the Bulldogs, who moved to 12-13 overall and 7-4 within the conference. The squad is just 5-11 away from home this season, but it is a respectable 3-3 on the road in Ivy League action. In terms of the all-time series, Princeton holds a 138-81 advantage over Yale and that includes a 34-6 marking in Jadwin Gym.

Yale forced 13 turnovers and used those miscues to score 23 points en route to an 87-79 win over Penn last night. The Bulldogs committed just six miscues themselves and also shot an efficient 55.2 percent from the field. Ross Morin led the charge with 20 points and eight boards, while Alex Zampier tallied 19 points. Travis Pinick also had a solid game for Yale, finishing with 15 points and five boards. On the season, Zampier tops the roster in scoring at 13.3 ppg and he also has a team-best 38 steals to his name. Morin adds 13.1 ppg and a team-high 6.0 rpg to the rotation, while Pinick contributes 10.3 ppg, 5.8 rpg and 3.0 apg.

Three-point shooting made the difference in last night's victory for the Tigers, as they went 8-of-17 from downtown compared to a dismal 3-of-22 showing by Brown. Princeton also converted on 8-of-10 free-throw attempts and it held Brown to a poor 34.6 percent shooting effort from the floor. Douglas Davis led the way with 16 points off the bench, while Dan Mavraides had 14 points on 4-of-6 three-pointers. On the season, Davis paces the Tigers in scoring at 12.4 ppg and he is shooting 36.3 percent from three-point range. Mavraides, an even better three-point shooter at 44.1 percent, adds 10.2 ppg for Princeton.

This is the final home game for Princeton, so expect the team to come out with a little extra energy on its way to picking up the victory.
