Veterans Monument Dedication The public is invited to the dedication of the Veterans Monument and Honor Roll on the Bolton Town Green at 11 a.m., September 29, 2007, which is also Bolton Heritage Day. Veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq will be honored. Following the dedication, there will be an outdoor picnic lunch on the the lawn of the Bolton Congregationqal Church, hosted by the church crew. A small donation is asked. Royal Blues Invitational Band Show The Royal Blues Invitational Band Show will be held September 29, 2007, at McVicar Field in Rocky Hill. Copperhead Snake in Connecticut "The Copperhead Snake in Connecticut: A Species at the Northern Extreme of its Range," a free program will be presented at 3 p.m., September 23, 2007, at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Biological Sciences and Physics Building, Room 130. The copperhead snake is found throughout much of the eastern half of the Unived States and in many areas it is the most common venomous species of snake. Antique Machinery Fall Festival The 23rd annual Antique Machinery Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., September 29 and 30, 2007, at the Ct Antique Machinery Association Inc. of Kent. The Wetmore House Talk The CT Trust for Historic Preservation in association with the Middlesex County Historic Society and the Greater Middletown Preservation Trust presents “House Talk: The Wetmore House,” from 9 a.m. to noon, September 29, 2007, at 1066 Washington Street, Middletown. Breadstock Festival in Granby Breadstock in a festival against hunger with Bittersweet Bakery and The Flatbread Company teaming up to raise money for Foodshare.
