Senate Approves Measure For Feb. Primary
Connecticut Would Join 22 Other States In Holding Election

HARTFORD, Conn. -- The state Senate passed a measure for Connecticut to join the Super Duper Tuesday presidential primary next year.By a 29-6 vote, the Senate passed the measure that was introduced by the Secretary of the State's Office.The proposal would move the state's presidential primary in 2008 from the first Tuesday in March to Feb. 5, joining 22 other states that have already announced primary elections on that date.
