New Miss Connecticut Crowned

Southington Woman Wins Title

A Southington woman has been crowned the new Miss Connecticut.

Sharalynn Kuziak beat out 18 other women to win the title and an $8,000 scholarship. Kuziak is a 2009 graduate of Quinnipiac University.

Acacia Courtney, of Hamden, was named Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding teen. She attends the Hopkins School. The titles were won at the 81st annual pageant Saturday night in New London.
