A visit by the television show, "Extreme Makeover – Home Edition," took another Connecticut town by surprise Sunday and took over the street the chosen family lives on.

Dozens of Suffield residents were up since early Sunday morning, watching as the showbiz world came to the Nutmeg State.

The Hill family woke Sunday to the news that their Mather Street home would be rebuilt.

"Totally surprised," said neighbor Patrick Reilly. "Very good for the community. It’s a great opportunity for the town, and a better opportunity for the Hills."

Pecoy Signature Homes of West Springfield will be rebuilding the home.

“We start on Tuesday actually demo-ing the house and we have to have it back together by Friday and turn it over to the interior designers. We actually have 106 hours to finish a house, construct a house,” said Kent Pecoy of Pecoy Signature Homes.

One of the Connecticut companies that is helping with the build is Rockville Bank, which has established a fund to help pay for materials and with the family’s needs after they move in.
