Model Train Exhibit Opens In Essex

ESSEX, Conn. -- Something happens when you hear the blast of a train whistle and the familiar sound of a chugging model train.Artist Steve Cryan spent decades creating his train world in miniature. The model train exhibit is now on display at the Connecticut River Museum in Essex.Cryan said, "I'm reliving my childhood you know. It's great to see a parent with their kid. I see a lot of mother's in here with their young kids. I see a grandfather and grandsons sharing the same joy."The exhibit includes other sizes of model trains as well.Essex resident Kevin Houchin said, "It's incredible. The museum is getting better and better and this just takes your breath away every year. So much work, so much detail."
