HARTFORD, Conn. -- When you go to the movies, you get popcorn. When you head to the ballpark for a game, you grab a hot dog. But, folks heading to the XL Center for tonight's Big East game can grab -- cupcakes.Todd and Marsha Rowe got into the cupcake game a few years ago, baking their tasty treats at a facility in North Haven. The goods are then packed into a truck, which has become a familiar and welcome sight in the New Haven area. They also cover the state checking out where the action is.Rowe said, "We wanted to start with a really good product, the cupcakes, and give it a good vehicle where we could actually have some fun with the people when they come to the truck. As far as we know, we're the first to be crazy enough to do it this way, but so far so good though."Fans of the cupcake truck can follow its travels on Rowe's Web site, with daily posts as to where they are going to be parked, and also a rundown of the types of cakes and frosting flavors they'll be offering. You can mix, or match the cake with the icing.Folks in the know, often order ahead but the walk-up business is brisk, to say the least. There are long lines, and there's a maximum of what you can order; four max, per flavor, per person. For more information about the Cupcake Truck, click here to check out their Web site.
