Boys Basketball

Bridgeport Central wins the state LL championship with a 78-68 win over Hillhouse.

Sheehan wins the Class M state title with a 72-61 win over Bloomfield.

Hyde wins the Class S basketball title with a 70-58 win over Prince Tech.

Girls Basketball

The Hillhouse girls with the Class L state championship with a 47-45 win over Wethersfield.

The St. Paul Falcons celebrate at Mohegan Sun Arena after being crowned the Class S state champs after a 39-37 win over Portland.

Norwich Free Academy repeats as state champs with a 50-47 win over Mercy. More


Kolbe Cathedral wins the girls class M basketball championships with a 64-50 over Brookfield.

Hockey

Defending champ Hamden wins the Division 1 hockey championship with a 6-5 win over Fairfield Prep.

Guilford takes the state Division III hockey title with a 7-3 win over Brookfield-Bethel-Danbury.

Amity scores five goals in the third period to shock the St. Joseph Cadets and take the D-2 state hockey crown in a 7-5 game.

While the season is over for the Sheehan hockey team, the players gained something that will stick with them a lot longer than the disappointment of a season-ending loss.

Gymnastics

Stephanie Kiback, a team of one, will compete at the New England High School Gymnastics Championships in Milford.
