Several students have been diagnosed with chicken pox on the University of Connecticut campus this week.

UConn officials said that six students were diagnosed with chicken pox, and that the students had been isolated and are recovering.

School health officials were contacting any students who may have been exposed to the illness. Those determined to be at risk of contracting the illness were being vaccinated, school officials said.

Anyone who has already had two doses of the varicella vaccine or has already had chicken pox is immune and not at risk, according to UConn health officials.
