Hartford To Host Free Medical Clinic
Clinic To Be Held At Connecticut Convention Center

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Hundreds of people without medical insurance are expected to take advantage of a free health care clinic being offered in Hartford. Wednesday's one-day clinic at the Connecticut Convention Center is being put on by the nonprofit National Association of Free Clinics. Doctors, dentists, nurses and other health care professionals are volunteering the their time for the event which will run from noon until 7 p.m.To make an appointment, dial 1-877-233-5159. While appointments are encouraged, walk-ins will be welcomed. The organization says that similar one-day clinics in Houston, New Orleans and Little Rock, Ark., each drew over 1,000 people. Besides health care, those who attend the clinic also will be given information to help connect them to additional services in their area.
