Conn.'s Third Case Of West Nile Virus Reported

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The state's third case of human-contracted West Nile virus was confirmed Monday.A New Haven resident, person under the age of 50, was admitted to the hospital Wednesday. The victim remains in the hospital and the New Haven Health Department said their condition is improving.This is the second human case of the virus in New Haven in the past two weeks."We urge all New Haven residents to take the necessary precautions to avoid mosquito bites during the mosquito season," said New Haven Mayor John DeStefano Jr.Stay with WFSB.com and Channel 3 Eyewitness News for the latest news updates.
