Despite the snow brought by Winter Storm Brooke, celebrations were still planned for a Chanukah celebration at Blue Back Square Sunday.

A public menorah lighting and celebration was scheduled for 4 p.m. inside a heated tent in front of Barnes & Noble.

The celebration was scheduled to feature music, food and entertainment. The menorah was to be lit by local dignitaries.

The Hartford Chabad House said it made special efforts to bring the community together for Chanukah after the tragedies in the Chabad House in Mumbai, India.

The entire community is invited to attend the event.
