Chieftains Pull Rank Over Indians

Conard 42, Manchester 0

POSTED: 10:58 pm EDT September 21, 2007

An afternoon meeting between the Indians and Chieftains ended in a shutout Friday.

The Manchester Indians hosted the Conard Chieftains on Friday afternoon, and it was all Chieftains early in the game.

Running back Matt Markese took the handoff in the first quarter and went down the sidelines for the touchdown, putting Conard up early, 7-0.

Later in the game, Conard quarterback Nigel Gaynor faked everyone out with a QB keeper, taking it in for an untouched score. Gaynor later went in from the 1-yard line for another score.

The Chieftains shut out the Indians, 42-0.
