Two West Haven rivals met Friday night in the fog.

The West Haven Blue Devils (1-2) hosted Notre Dame-West Haven Green Knights at Ken Strong Stadium, and the Green Knights struck first.

In the first half, Notre Dame running back Michael Demarseilles busted through the defense for the score.

Late in the half came some Blue Devil trickery: Kevin Gray found himself on the receiving end of the flea flicker from quarterback Tom Lawrence for the score, putting West Haven up 7-6 at the half.

The Green Knights, however, held on for the 26-20 win over the Blue Devils, which falls to 1-3.
