CHESHIRE, Conn. -- Cheshire High School’s football team will spend the next week tackling an onslaught any squad would have a hard time competing with.Almost 40 percent of the team is out with a variety of different illnesses possibly including H1N1.These sicknesses prompted the superintendent to postpone Friday’s game against West Haven.Cheshire was not the first school to do this. It is following the lead set by Guilford High School last week. The school system called this move a nip the sick wave in the bud.The custodial staff will clean the team’s football equipment and locker room to prevent the spread of any other illnesses.
