Tampa, FL -- (Sports Network) - According to a report, Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Troy Glaus received multiple shipments of performing-enhancing steroids between 2003 and 2004.According to Sports Illustrated's web site, Glaus allegedly received nandrolone and testosterone from a Florida pharmacy between September 2003 and May 2004 when he was a member of the Angels. At the time, both nandrolone and testosterone were banned by Major League Baseball. The Orlando pharmacy is the center of an investigation of illegal internet prescription drug sales by the Albany, New York district attorney's office. This is the second dose of bad news in one day for MLB as earlier Friday, the New York Daily News reported that St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Rick Ankiel reportedly received shipments of human growth hormone from the same pharmacy. Other athletes to have been caught in the Signature Pharmacy investigation include Rodney Harrison of the NFL's New England Patriots and former NFL quarterback-turned-coach Wade Wilson. After spending his first seven seasons in the league with the Angels, Glaus played a year with Arizona before heading to Toronto in 2006. During his 10-year career, Glaus is a .254 hitter with 277 home runs and 778 runs batted in.
