ROCKY HILL, Conn. -- As the housing crisis grows in our state, foreclosure is on the minds of many homeowners.

If you're having trouble paying your mortgages, Eyewitness News has some tips for you to help avoid foreclosure.

  • Avoid foreclosure prevention companies and put your money toward your loan.
  • Watch for scams: Never sign a legal document without understanding all the terms.
