Customers Warned About Mislabeled Muffins

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Consumers are being urged to not consume muffins purchased from a Danbury Stop & Shop if they have allergies to soy or dairy.The store's Mini Corn Muffins, Mini Blueberry Muffins and Mini Chocolate Chip Muffins sold at the Lake Avenue store between May 11 and May 24 were mislabeled, the Department of Consumer Protection said.DCP Commissioner Jerry Farrell said the labels may have inadvertently omitted the ingredients.The muffins were packaged in a clear plastic container.The store is urging customers who purchased the muffins to return them for a full refund.For more information, contact Stop & Shop at 800-767-7772.
