Police Say Teen Had Sex With Girl

Three teenage boys and a mother face charges after an alleged party involving alcohol, drugs and sex.

Southington police have charged Charlene Milia with three counts of injury to children and five counts of liquor sales to minors.

Police said the 42-year-old mother rented two rooms on Sept. 23 at the Marriott on West Street for three 17-year-old boys and three 14-year-old girls. Police said Milia bought alcohol for the party.

Investigators said they discovered that one of the boys had consensual sex with one of the girls and that cocaine and alcohol was used at the party.

"We received a phone call from one of the 14-year-old girl's mothers, and what happened is ... her daughter was supposed to be sleeping over at another girl's house and she learned that her daughter wasn't there," said Sgt. Lowell DePalma.

Milia remains in police custody on $35,000 bond, and two of the boys, charged with three counts of risk of injury to children, remain held on $10,000 bond.

Police charged the third boy with the same risk of injury to children charges in addition to sex and alcohol charges. He remains held on $50,000 bond.

All four are scheduled to appear in court next week.
