NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- New Haven police Lt. William White will get his pension after all.The FBI arrested White last month on charges of stealing money seized in drug raids. The Police Pension Board ruled on Thursday that White, the former head of the department's narcotics unit, will get his pension.White filed papers to retire days after his arrest. The mayor wanted to deny White his pension, which outraged the union. The union claimed earlier in the month that the officers' contracts do not specify that the city can take away the officers' pensions.Earlier this month, the city's Board of Police Commissioners fired White and Detective Justin Kasperzyk, who was also arrested in this case.
