HARTFORD, Conn. -- A man was placed in police custody Sunday morning after he was accused of sexually assaulting a female student at the University of Hartford.

Police said it happened at the Regents Park Dormitory near the Sports Center on campus.

The victim contacted her resident advisor, who then contacted campus security.

Hartford police arrested the man early Saturday morning.

They said the man was visiting another student who lived in the dorm.
