Police say they seized more than 500 pounds of marijuana, several vehicles, cash, drugs and weapons in a major bust in Woodbridge on Thursday night.

Police said the marijuana's value is estimated at $1.8 million, an amount that's in addition to the value of cocaine, hallucinogenic mushrooms, four guns, a new motor home and five other vehicles they also seized.

More than $100,000 in cash was also discovered and seized as evidence.

State and local officers made the bust after setting up surveillance around a home in Woodbridge, where three people were arrested.

Police identified the people in custody as Edward Jevarjian, 54, of Woodbridge; Dennis Earl Thompson, 54, of North Carolina; and Misty Lynn White, 43, of Austin, Texas.

Police said Jevarjian lived in the Woodbridge home and that Thompson and White arrived on Thursday night in the motor home in which some of the drugs were discovered.

State Police said that troopers, along with members of the New Haven and Woodbridge police departments, staked out the home after receiving a tip from the Milford Police Department.

"This is one of the largest marijuana busts that I can remember happening in the most recent years," said Trooper William Tate. "These are people who are bringing product in for distribution."

He said the drugs were packaged in air-tight cases and were ready for distribution and transportation.

State police told Eyewitness News that the Connecticut Narcotics Division is investigating along with the DEA to determine where the marijuana came from and where it was headed.

"This is an extremely large amount of marijuana," Tate said. "It is going to put a large dent in this region and eastern seaboard."
