UPDATED: 6:56 pm EDT May 22, 2007

Police said a Tuesday traffic stop turned into a pursuit that ended with a crash and the suspect barricading himself inside someone else's home.

Meriden police said a car that had been pulled over during a routine traffic stop led officers in a high-speed pursuit. The pursuit ended with a crash and the car's passenger fleeing the car.

Police said the man who fled, Daniel Oslander, was a man who had been wanted by police in connection with unrelated charges.

Oslander is accused of breaking into a home on North Spring Street after the crash and then barricading himself inside.

Officers set up a perimeter around the home before going inside and taking Oslander into police custody.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Jamie Roth reported that there are several felony warrants for Oslander.
