100 Warrants Issued In Hartford Sweep

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Hartford police, armed with 100 arrest warrants, conducted a citywide sweep Wednesday.As part of the city's summer initiative, members of various units of the Hartford Police Department set out in the city Wednesday morning to issue more than 100 arrest warrants."The active arrest warrants were the result of several months of investigation by the department that included conducting street-level hand-to-hand narcotics busy," said Chief Daryl Roberts.Ten teams began conducting the sweep around 5 a.m., according to police.Police said 33 of the warrants were served and 25 arrests had been made by Wednesday evening.
