Residents Report Unwanted Visitors In Beds

Health Officials Expect Problem To Last For Weeks

UPDATED: 7:30 pm EDT September 21, 2007

Residents of another Waterbury apartment building are claiming that their building has been infested with bed bugs.

City health officials said they have received complaints of bed bugs at Enterprise Apartments on Cherry Avenue.

The health department said it has been receiving reports of bed bugs across the city for the past few weeks, beginning at an apartment complex near the Waterbury Green.

Health officials said that when they receive a few reports of bed bugs, they usually expect a few more because people who have the bugs travel around.

The department said it expects the problem to last in the city for several weeks before it is eradicated.

"They're killing me, that's why I'm moving," said Enterprise Apartments resident Cookie Rosado.
