Fugitive Found Sleeping In Casino Garage

Man Wanted In Three States

POSTED: 5:08 pm EDT October 15, 2007

A man wanted by the FBI in connection with crimes committed in three different states is now facing extradition from Connecticut.

Frank Czerwinski Jr., 43, was considered armed and dangerous when police said they found him at Foxwoods Resort Casino early Sunday morning.

Police said Czerwinski was found sleeping in his car in the Rainmaker Parking Garage.

Czerwinski was arrested by Connecticut State Police on an outstanding federal warrant. He was wanted in Virginia, Pennsylvania and New Jersey for armed robbery, aggravated assault and violation of probation.

Police said officers tracked Czerwinski by his cell phone and that troopers broke the window of Czerwinski's car after he refused to role it down.

Czerwinski waived extradition Monday during an appearance in New London Superior Court.
