Company Sells Bottled Water For Dogs

New England Company Makes Spring Water For Pooches

One of New England's oldest soda bottling companies has launched Woof Water, a bottled water for dogs.

Avery Beverages has a wide range of flavors, everything from toxic slime, to dog drool, swamp juice and bug barf. Company officials said that the popularity of the off-beat flavors got them thinking -- why not water for dogs?

"A lot of our customers that buy the bottled water, the large bottles, the towns that have heavily chlorinated water, the dogs just won't drink it, so they're giving the dogs spring water and that was part of the genesis of this," said Cindy Burr, of Avery Beverages.

Company officials said the water is pure spring water with nothing added and nothing taken out.

"We did some market research and found that nine out of 10 dogs prefer Woof Water over toilet bowl water," said Rob Metz of Avery Beverages. "We're working on that 10th dog."
