Water Damage Closes East Lyme H.S. Early

Water Drain Clogged At School

POSTED: 12:13 pm EST January 15, 2008
UPDATED: 1:01 pm EST January 15, 2008

Students at East Lyme High School get to go home early Tuesday because of flooding conditions and water damage.

Administrators dismissed seniors at 12:10 p.m. and plan to dismiss the remainder of students at 12:30 p.m. All afternoon activities for the high school are canceled.

Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Kevin Hogan has learned that cardboard was blocking a drain, causing a water backup. It was not immediately clear as to whether this incident could have an impact on Wednesday's classes.
