Pot, Cookies Seized In Clinton Drug Arrest
Chief: Drugs Possibly Worth $15,000 On Street

CLINTON, Conn. -- Police seized 10 pounds of marijuana, in addition to chocolate chip cookies and brownies baked with marijuana, from a home in Clinton on Friday.Clinton Police Chief Joe Faughnan told Eyewitness News his detectives and statewide narcotics task force officials started investigating William Bradley six months ago.Investigators obtained a search warrant to enter the 39-year-old's home on Old Nod Road at about 2 p.m. on Friday, where they said they found the materials. Other officers found Bradley in his car elsewhere in town.The Clinton Police Department displayed several bags of marijuana that covered the conference room table. Faughnan told Eyewitness News the drugs have a street value of up to $15,000."It's quite a haul," Faughnan said. "We developed intelligence information, and after the surveillance, we were able to execute two search warrants today on Mr. Bradley and the results are right here in front of you."Channel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Leon Collins reported the room in the police department had a pungent aroma of marijuana.Faughnan said most of the marijuana was found in Bradley's house. Bradley remains held on $75,000 bond, charged with cultivation of marijuana, operating a drug factory, possession of illegal mushrooms, possession of hash and possession with intent to sell.Bradley is scheduled to face a judge on Monday.Clinton police Detectives Joe Flynn and Bryan Pellegrini investigated the case.
