The front door of the Hartford Boys and Girls Club is riddled with bullet holes after being struck by gunfire on Monday, police said.

Two bullets were shot into the doors of the Nahum Drive club around 2:30 p.m.

The president of the organization, which has several locations in the city, said a car drove up tot the building and shots were fired. He said that at the time of the shooting, no club members were inside the building.

Boys and Girls Club officials would not discuss whether any children were standing outside the building waiting to get in, although the shooting occurred during nearby Weaver High School's afternoon dismissal.

No injuries were reported in the shooting.

Police said the shooting occurred in a heavily populated neighborhood and that investigators are hoping witnesses to the shooting will come forward.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to contact the Hartford Police Department by dialing 860-527-TIPS.
