MANSIFELD, Conn. -- A head-on collision in Mansfield sent two people to an area hospital with minor head injuries.

Authorities responded to the collision on Route 89 near Laurel Lane at about 2:45 a.m. on Thursday, closing the road until about 6 a.m.

Daniel Kokoszka, 18, was a back-seat passenger in one car, and Jason Durr, 23, was driving the other car. LIFE STAR transported both to Hartford Hospital as a precaution. Their conditions were not immediately reported.

Another person involved in the crash suffered minor injuries, and two others were not injured.

Police said the crash remains under investigation.
