MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- A Connecticut woman is accused of posting ads advertising sexual services online.Manchester police said Crystal Possardt, 25, posted several ads on Craigslist.org in which she offered sex in exchange for money."People selling sex should not be on Craigslist, which is a reputable and highly regarded place," said Attorney General Richard Blumenthal.Manchester detectives arrested the woman after an undercover sting operation.Although officers charged Possardt with prostitution, Blumenthal said he wants Craigslist to do a better job at cracking down on people who use the site for illegal purposes. He recently sent the company a letter requesting that it begin screening and removing all of the ads for prostitution."We think it has an obligation legally and morally to remove these ads because they promote an illegal activity," Blumenthal said.Craigslist told Blumenthal that it is aware of the problem and that it is willing to cooperate.Blumenthal said the company denied that it is its legal responsibility to remove the postings.
