A 7-month-old baby fell out a Branford window on Thursday, according to police.

Police said the infant fell from a second-floor window on Foxbridge Village Road before 6 a.m.

The baby was laying in bed with its parents when it fell out the window, which police said was a little lower than the bed.

Officials said the baby landed on a deck.

A man who lives in an apartment in the building told Eyewitness News that the sound of the baby hitting the deck was so loud it woke him.

Police said the baby's father jumped out the window after the baby.

The baby's mother told police that she thought that there was a screen in the window.

The baby was transported to Yale Pediatrics, with what fire officials described as minor injuries.
