East Hartland was left without 911 service on Friday morning.

The town was without phone service, leaving the emergency system disabled.

AT&T told Eyewitness News that a construction crew cut into a fiber optic line, causing the outage around 8:30 a.m.

Repair crews were dispatched and repaired the cut in the line, AT&T officials said.

Service was restored shortly after 11 a.m.

During the outage, the town had requested that anyone with an emergency go in person to the fire department at 34 South Road.
