Police said a robbery occurred at Al's Warehouse Friday night at about 9 p.m.

They said two men with handguns entered the front door of the liquor store shortly before the 9 p.m. closing.

The men ordered the three employees and two customers to lie on the floor, police said.

An undetermined amount of cash was stolen from the register. The cash register was left in place.

Personal property of the employees and customers was not demanded, nor was it taken, police said.

They said no shots were fired, and no injuries were reported.

The gunmen left the store and were last seen on foot headed toward the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn, located at 560 Main Ave., which is located next door to the liquor store.

The pair may have fled in a white vehicle, which was seen leaving the northern exit of the Hilton Garden Inn and heading southbound on Main Avenue toward the Route 7 Connector at a high rate of speed, police said.

The video surveillance system was able to tape the men, police said.

They said one of the gunman was a black man who is about 6 feet tall with a medium athletic build. He was wearing blue jeans, tan shows and a long, tan sweater. He was also wearing a black and white checkered baseball cap with a white emblem on the front.

The second gunman was also a black man standing about 6 feet tall, but police said he had a husky build with a larger stomach. They said he was wearing a white T-shirt, a blue jackets and a blue baseball cap.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Alex Tolnay at 203-854-3189.
