ROCKY HILL, Conn. -- The Connecticut Lottery Corporation and its technology partner, Scientific Games, announced the completion of a statewide upgrade to the computer systems used to maintain Lottery operations.Connecticut Lottery retailers are now able to sell, validate and cash lottery tickets, officials said. The installation of software began Saturday night following the Powerball drawing at 10:59 p.m. and required a temporary suspension of services to the Lottery network.According to Anne M. Noble, president and CEO of the Connecticut Lottery, "This was the corporation's first major upgrade in more than a decade. Once the installation process was concluded and the system integrity was assured, approval was given, and all business systems returned to 'Go Live' status. We are confident that our new system will make playing our games easier and more fun, and we thank the public for their patience and patronage during this transition."
All Sunday drawings will take place as scheduled, officials said.
