HARTFORD -- The Connecticut State Lottery has completed its first upgrade in more than a decade.Sales were halted Saturday night after the Powerball drawing in order to install new software to the computer systems. Sales resumed just after 10 a.m. Sunday and retailers were able to sell, validate, and cash lottery tickets.According to Anne M. Noble, president and CEO of the CT Lottery, the upgrade went off without a hitch."Once the installation process was concluded and the system integrity was assured, approval was given and all business systems returned to 'Go Live' status. We are confident that our new system will make playing our games easier and more fun, and we thank the public for their patience and patronage during this transition," said Noble.
All Sunday drawings will take place as scheduled.
