HARTFORD, Conn. -- A man was transported to Hartford Hospital after being stabbed in the groin on Wednesday.

Police said the man was wounded inside a Wethersfield Avenue apartment.

The man's live-in girlfriend is accused in the stabbing.

Neighbor Lorenzo Vega told Eyewitness News that the couple has been living in the apartment building for the past year. He said that he often heard the man and woman arguing.

"They argue a lot. At night I hear them screaming," Vega said.

Vega said that he witnessed a large amount of blood following the stabbing.

The girlfriend was brought to the police station for questioning.
