The man was changing a tire near exit 15 in Wallingford when he was struck, according to state police.

The truck also struck the man’s vehicle.

State police told Eyewitness News that three people were injured in the incident, including the driver of the tractor-trailer.

State police said that only one northbound lane of the roadway would remain open until noon while crews cleared the area.

Police said 100 gallons of fuel were spilled in the crash.

Police said none of the injuries were life-threatening.
