Knife Found In Boy's Book Bag, Police Say

HAMDEN, Conn. -- A Hamden eighth-grade student was arrested after police said he brought a knife to school.Police said a knife with a 3-inch blade was found in the book bag of a 14-year-old student.The teen was taken into police custody on Friday after arriving at Hamden Middle School on a bus.The teen was charged with threatening and breach of peace.
He was released into the custody of his parents, and is scheduled to appear in juvenile court in New Haven.
