A push for safer streets in New Haven is gaining speed.

A coalition of cyclists and traffic safety advocates wants increased traffic enforcement of the city's 25 MPH speed limit.

As of Tuesday night, the group's online petition had the signatures of about 150 people.

The petition calls for strict immediate enforcement of all traffic, stop light, stop sign, bicycle lane, crosswalk and cell phone related infractions.
