HAMDEN, Conn. -- The intersection surrounding the Hamden Post Office was closed Thursday evening after the discovery of a suspicious package.Federal agents, post office inspectors, state police and local police were summoned to the building after receiving a report of a suspicious package around 2:30 p.m.
Federal, State, Local Agents Investigate Suspicious PackageChannel 3 Eyewitness News reporter Hena Daniels reported that the New Haven bomb squad had also reported to the building.Daniels reported that a robot was seen circling the area and that a small explosion was heard before 5 p.m.Officers were rerouting traffic around the Whitney Avenue building.
