GUILFORD, Conn. -- A baby girl was struck in the face by a paintball while sitting in a parked car with her mother in Guilford on Thursday.Police said the 1-year-old child was being fed by her mother inside a parked vehicle in the parking lot of the CVS store on Boston Post Road around 2 p.m.Police said orange paintballs were fired out of a passing vehicle. Several unoccupied vehicles were struck before the paintball hit the child, according to police.Paramedics treated the baby, who suffered a welt on the side of her face, at the scene.Police said no witnesses have yet come forward, and that no description of the vehicle involved is available.Anyone with information regarding the investigation is urged to contact Officer Juan Mulero at the Guilford Police Department by dialing 203-453-8061 or at the department's anonymous tip line 203-453-8240.
