Police are searching for a 77-year-old man who they said never returned to his Bristol home on Wednesday.

John MacDonald left the home he shares with his grown daughter at 10 a.m. in his 2003 Chevy Malibu and never returned, police said.

Police said MacDonald is described as being in good physical condition with no known medical problems.

MacDonald has a cottage in Barkhamsted, but has not been seen there recently, police said.

MacDonald is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall, weighing 155 pounds with grey hair and hazel eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue paints and a button-up plaid shirt. He was driving a four-door silver Chevy Malibu with Connecticut license plate number AB7712.

Anyone with information regarding MacDonald's whereabouts is urged to contact the Bristol Police Department by dialing 860- 584-3011.
