MANCHESTER, Conn. -- A gas main explosion and structure fire occurred Wednesday in Manchester, according to officials.The independent 8th District Fire Department of Manchester said it responded to the call.Officials said the incident took place in the area of West Middle Turnpike and Homestead.Fire trucks arrived at the scene, officials said, and got the fire under control.
