Two Killed, Three Injured In Boat Collision

Power Boats Collide On New Milford Lake

Two people were killed and three others injured after two power boats collided in New Milford early Saturday morning.

Officials said that the boats collided on the east side of Candlewood Lake.

One of the victims was identified as a 32-year New Milford man. The other victim was only identified as a New Milford man.

Officials said the boats collided around 1:15 a.m.

Officials from the Department of Environmental Protection told Eyewitness News that two other people suffered minor injuries in the crash and that another suffered serious injuries.

DEP officials said the second victim was found after an hours-long search by a dive team.
