WEST HAVEN, Conn. -- A man suspected in a carjacking in West Haven on Saturday night was taken into police custody on Sunday morning.Police said that at about 9:45 p.m., a man left his 6-year-old daughter in the car while he went inside the First Fuel gas station on First Avenue to pay for his gas.A man armed with a gun then entered the vehicle and pushed the girl out before fleeing with the car, according to police.The man was described as a black male, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. Police said the man was between 20 and 30 years old and was wearing a red shirt and jeans.
After an all-night manhunt, police said a man was arrested in connection with the incident.Watch Eyewitness News for updates to this developing story.
