Shelton Eliminated From World Series

Tampa Defeats New England In Final Pool-Play Game

With a loss to Tampa in the final game of pool play, Shelton National was eliminated from the Little League World Series.

The Connecticut team fell 8-2 in Monday night's game.

Shelton is the first team since Trumbull in 1989 to represent Connecticut in the series.

To make it to Williamsport, the Little Leaguers defeated Roxbury, Mass. and Manchester, N.H. for the right to represent New England.

Shelton lost game 1 of pool play to Hawaii, but emerged victorious in game 2 against South Dakota.
