WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- At least one Wallingford family is concerned about neighborhood speeding, so they decided to do something about it.Natalie Clunan vented her frustration on a piece of plywood that she posted, pleading people to slow down.Clunan said she worries about her children’s safety, and her children worry about their pets.“We have pet chickens,” Clunan’s daughter said. “They run around, and they could get killed.”The town's zoning office said Clunan’s signs are illegal, but a Wallingford planner said she has no plans to enforce that rule. The police chief said speeding is a common issue in most suburban communities. She said officers doing speed enforcement generally end up catching those breaking the rules.“I just want people to slow down,” said Clunan. “I’d hate to see something happen that's tragic.”
